As a certified level II free diver, John goes down as far as 100 feet into the ocean. “Being under the ocean that far, holding your breath is a calm you don’t get anywhere else”. The focus John experiences when he is 100 feet into the ocean, is the same focus and calm he brings to the postproduction department at Red Thread. John manages the mechanics of massive loads of information and people when working on a project.

Holding a degree in interactive and digital media with a concentration in web development, his media studies background has a heavy computer science component that Red Thread relies on to integrate the more technical side of visual output. While that may sound heavy, James doesn’t take himself too seriously outside of work. His dry sarcasm and wit brighten a room, and his candid photography is a hit with friends and family.
