‘Some soldiers return from war with scars you can see. Others return with scars you can’t see.’ When Duane Topping returned from Iraq, he struggled with PTSD as he integrated back into civilian life. He felt lost and ungrounded. Until he found devotion and salvation in the form of designing high women’s fashion.
In documentary style, Red Thread told the remarkable story of Duane’s recovery – from his return from Iraq, to the founding of his fashion line with the help of a Bank of America small business loan, to his current position as a critically acclaimed, renowned name in the fashion world.
Our work won both a Telly and a Webby, but more importantly we got to meet Duane, an American hero.
